What we offer

A tested migration, from source audit to sign-off

We move databases, data warehouses and business systems to a new platform or to the cloud with a US-managed team of data engineers in Cebu, Philippines. The team audits your source data, maps and cleans it, runs trial migrations in a parallel environment, cuts over with backups in place and validates the results after the move. You get a migration plan, a tested cutover and a validation report, delivered by engineers who work your hours and answer to a US-based delivery lead at our headquarters in Nixa, Missouri.
Validation built into the plan

Governance and validation decide whether a migration succeeds

A data migration is a short, high-risk project, and most companies do not keep migration specialists on staff. Agreeing the sign-off checks before the first trial run, repeating them on every rehearsal and running them again after cutover makes validation part of the plan rather than an afterthought. Backups, dry runs and integrity checks protect against data loss, and staged or parallel migrations keep your systems running as data moves.
What you can expect

Every phase of the move, end to end

Every migration follows the same six phases (audit, plan, test, execute, validate and support), so you always know what has been checked and what comes next.
Who it is for

Built for teams upgrading systems, switching platforms or moving to the cloud

Migrations preserve history while modernizing your stack. They come up during cloud transitions, platform switches, mergers and data warehouse upgrades, usually with a deadline attached.
Teams Switching Platforms
Your current system no longer fits, and years of records have to come with you. Field mapping and trial runs confirm the data lands correctly before the old system is retired. Your team starts on the new platform with its history intact.
Companies Moving to Cloud
On-premise servers are aging or costly to run, and the data has to move without stopping the business. Staged or parallel migrations keep systems running while data moves to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. The final cutover can be scheduled for your quietest hours.
Merging Businesses
A merger leaves two sets of customers, products and orders in two systems. Cleanup during the move removes duplicates and resolves conflicts before the systems combine. You end up with one clean system of record instead of two partial ones.
Analytics and Reporting Teams
Your reports depend on years of history that cannot be lost in a warehouse move. Data warehouse migration carries that history to the new platform and checks it against the source. Dashboards keep running on numbers that match the old system.
Teams Without Migration Specialists
A migration is a short project, and hiring specialists for it rarely makes sense. An experienced team joins for the length of the project, with a full team typically working within 2 to 4 weeks of signing. There is no term contract, so the engagement ends when the migration does.
Ecommerce Operators
Online retailers move order, product and inventory data between platforms while the store keeps selling. eComia engineers run the technology behind US retailers such as Mass Depot, HiFi Soundconnection and VHC Brands, which scaled on eComia's in-house ERP-WMS platform. You work with a team that handles production commerce data every day.

Frequently Asked Questions

The process is built to prevent it. We take backups before cutover, rehearse the migration with dry runs in a parallel environment and run integrity checks against the source after every run, including the final one. Problems surface in rehearsal, while the source system is still the system of record.

It depends on data volume, the number of sources and how much cleanup the data needs. Small migrations may take days; larger or more complex ones can span weeks. The audit at the start of the project produces a schedule you can plan around.

Each role has a flat monthly rate, with no setup, screening or equipment fees. The audit at the start of the project sets the schedule and the team size, so you know what the migration needs before execution starts.

You do. You own all scripts, credentials and intellectual property from day one, delivered into your repositories, and the support phase hands the scripts and documentation over to your team.

A US-based delivery lead answers for the migration, and every engagement includes an account manager, an operations manager and a site director, all onsite in our Cebu facility. If an engineer is not the right fit, we replace them at no additional cost.

Data migration services cover moving data from one system, format or location to another, safely and accurately. With eComia that means a source audit, field mapping, data cleanup, trial migrations, the cutover itself, validation after the move and support while your team settles into the new system.

Yes, in most cases. We use staged or parallel migrations to keep downtime and disruption to a minimum, and because we operate 24/7, the final cutover can be scheduled for your quietest hours.

We choose tools to fit your setup: AWS Database Migration Service, Azure Migrate, Google Cloud transfer tools and Talend, plus custom SQL, Python and shell scripts where a standard tool cannot handle a transformation.

No. There is no term contract and the minimum is one team member, so you keep the team for the length of the migration and no longer.

Yes. Our operations are PCI and HIPAA compliant, and every engineer works 100% onsite in our secure Cebu Business Park facility, which runs on a building generator and triple-redundant fiber. Security checks are also part of the validation after the move.
